A Newspaper Substitute for my Beloved Dad

Me and my sister concerned of my Dad's mobility, his Dell Vostro 1310 notebook, my sister think, too big and bulky. And also, needs electricity. While our beloved Dad is an up-to-date person. He always grab his newspaper when he dressed up already. But these days he rarely read his copy of paper, he even not touch it.

So we decided to buy a tablet for him, at first we want to buy him an iPad

But according to its damn-it's-way-too-heavy-for-a-tablet weight, and its price that oh-so-expensive-that-isn't-worth-with-the-features-at-all, we decided to take an alternate choice; Samsung's cute little Oversized Android phone named Galaxy Tab.

Smaller, lighter, and Droid; three things that makes this a good alternate. On same price range with iPad 3G (16 GB), Galaxy Tab equipped with video call and Augmented Reality Google Maps (we only need to capture the place we want to view its map). Cool huh?

Anyways, which one do you prefer for my Dad? He's 52, almost retired, and loves simplicities. Tell me which one suits my Dad!
